Junior Data Analyst

About the Role
As a Junior Data Analyst at INSARS, you will be an integral member of our core scientific characterization team. You will directly process raw experimental data acquired from leading instrumentation facilities across India and internationally, converting complex spectra into high-accuracy, publication-ready analytical reports. This role offers rare exposure to cutting-edge research across nanomaterials, polymers, catalysts, and biomolecules.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and analyze raw characterization datasets from XRD, UV-Vis, XPS, Raman, SEM, and related physical techniques.
- Deconvolute overlapping peaks, determine crystallite sizes, phase composition, and optical bandgaps using standard scientific software (Origin, HighScore, Match!, etc.).
- Draft comprehensive analytical reports and clear interpretations to assist client research groups in manuscript submissions.
- Interface with partner university instrumentation centers to clarify experimental conditions and validate data integrity.
- Support continuous improvement of standard operating procedures for analytical characterization.
Requirements & Profile
- M.Sc, M.Tech, or Ph.D in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable hands-on experience in scientific data analysis (specifically XRD, UV-Vis, XPS, Raman, SEM).
- Strong theoretical foundation in crystallography, spectroscopy, bandgap modeling, and surface characterization.
- High proficiency with data analysis and plotting software (OriginLab, Match!, PowderX, CasaXPS, etc.).
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong written scientific documentation skills.
